A very successful ISE for Barco, which never stops updating and keeping Click share on the top of the wave and presents the new NT series ledwall product
Having been able to meet, in Barcelona, Salvatore Riontino, Country Manager and Channel Sales of Barco, and Fabrizio Ponzo, Large videowall & Control Room Barco Territory Manager, allows us to take a 360° look at the universe of this very important company.
Let’s start with the flagship, which is Clickshare: “Every year we try to improve the user experience” – Salvatore Riontino told us – “and precisely for this reason, and for its simplicity, Clickshare remains one of the main market players. We interface a lot with customers and users to capture their needs and requirements, and we launch new features every year. Nowadays, for example, a priority is to make people connected remotely feel as if they were in the office, for fair and comfortable videoconferences. On two screens, you can have the content part and the videoconference part, so we make it possible to share data and documents while keeping the faces of the participants visible. Another important option” – concluded Salvatore – “is the 21:9 format of the screen, which allows you to split the video call part and the document sharing part on a single monitor.”
Before saying goodbye, we asked Salvatore Riontino for a slightly broader reflection on the current market policies of Barco as well as those of other major brands, which have decisively implemented sales through dedicated channels. “We created a channel program that makes clear sense for our partners and helps us to bring all Barco solutions to market. In fact – concluded Salvatore Riontino – it is not just a question of interfacing with the large system integrators, but also of transferring our know-how to all the partners who want to approach our world, so that they can offer Barco on the market even independently. We hold specific courses and issue specific certifications, to install and use our systems, and in fact, those who are certified with us become an extension of our sales network.”
After this interesting general examination, with Fabrizio Ponzo, we go into detail on the ledwall area and the novelty of this ISE 2023, the new NT series. “Ledwall, LCD, and projection” – Fabrizio told us – “are the most important display technologies, for us, it’s essential above all to provide a control system that allows the user to control any type of system. Our goal is that the customer can install it and then forget about the system. For this, we have reformed the command and control point, and we can provide the IT manager with a tool with which he can control all visualization systems from one central point. The sensors also allow us to anticipate possible problems, optimizing resources.”
But what if we want to go into a little more detail and talk about ISE 2023? “The fair went very well, beyond our expectations,” said Fabrizio Ponzo. “The stand, structured according to the different company divisions, offered an all-round experience of the Barco world. We are very satisfied. The main novelty that we have presented is the NT ledwall series, with different pixel pitches (1.2 – 1.5 – 1.8), a solution with less demanding characteristics from the hardware point of view than TruePix, therefore perfect for the Corporate market, to create ledwalls of great impact, with lower costs but with 100% Barco image processing. In short, it’s a mid-range product but with the same display technology as the high-end ones.”
