Distributed by Prase Media Technologies, the Bluesound brand offers a new PoE speaker with extensive streaming and connectivity capabilities.
Bluesound Professional has announced the launch of the new BSP200 speaker for network streaming. It’s an all-in-one PoE+ solution, available in matte white or black, which offers the convenience of control via the BluOS App from any iOS or Android phone or tablet, or from the Bluesound Professional CP100 wall controller.
The speaker, based on the BluOS platform, has an integrated player thanks to which it’s able to reproduce and distribute audio content from a local library or from streaming distribution services, including those specifically designed for commercial use such as SoundMachine, Custom Channels, QSIC, SiriusXM Music for Business and internet radio. In addition to the stand-alone configuration, the BSP200 speaker can also be used in pairs (stereo configuration) or in a larger BluOS system, dividing the speakers into groups of any size that can be defined by the user.
The BSP200 is equipped with a 3.5” LP driver and a 1” HF driver with a 23W amplifier providing a low power standby mode. The speaker frequency response is 45Hz-20kHz and the THD+N of the system is 0,003% at full rated power. The integrated DSP allows equalization and other audio processing. Access to content via Ethernet allows for easy and hassle-free streaming. An additional USB input increases system flexibility by allowing playback of audio files stored on connected drives, for a maximum SPL of 102 dB (using PoE+, which eliminates the need to plug all installed speakers into a power outlet).
As for installation, an optional bracket allows wall mounting with the possibility of 360° rotation. “In Bluesound Professional, the goal is to combine exceptional sound quality with flexibility and convenience unique to both the installer and the customer”, said Graeme Harrison, Vice President and General Manager of Bluesound Professional. “Of course, we also heavily focus on the reliability of the components and the BluOS operating system.
