We met the CEO Alessandro Bellini, who gave us a picture of the participation of BG & Partners in the Rome Innovation Hub, in collaboration with the partner Dropbox.
“We have chosen to participate in the Rome Innovation Hub to get in touch with figures such as architects, engineers, experts, etc.” Thus begins Alessandro Bellini, CEO of BG & Partners, and immediately delves into the concept: “The idea is to acquire the skills to collaborate with them in the design phase. For us it’s a new market, we want to collaborate with architects and designers and be able to work on the technological A/V part and the acoustic diffusion. The theme of environmental acoustics is often overlooked, but it’s very important. Here, for example, we have brought designer acoustic panels, something that fits very well with the design needs.”
The participation of BG & Partners in the Rome Innovation Hub took place, however, in the sign of a very important partnership for the company, the one with Dropbox. This is why an intervention by Valentina Quaini, Dropbox Business Account Manager for Italy, Greece and South Africa, is very welcome, to better tell the BG & Partners experience at the Innovation Hub: “We are here with BG, which has been our partner” –says Valentina. “For us, Roma Innovation Hub is a very interesting opportunity to get in touch with professionals from the construction world and get to know them. Dropbox Business is a solution designed for companies, many use it individually but in reality it allows agile collaboration between internal and external parties, and offers cloud storage space to organize content, but also security and ease of interaction between the various participants.”
In short, ideal for working in a team even remotely and carrying out complex designs. But this synergy between the two companies, what did it bring, on a practical level, to Rome during the days of the event? Alessandro Bellini replies: “For us, product means solution. About fifteen years ago we were already pioneers with Breeze, one of the very first sharing platforms. So we entered the world of web conferences. Adobe Connect is another web conference platform, and it’s the one that made us enter the wider A/V world, becoming a system integrator, about ten years ago. The first brand we certified with was Extron, today we collaborate with many companies. On a technical level we have grown, we have both programmers and designers. Here in Rome we bring above all a new trend, AV over IP: everything that is done via cable today we try to do it on the LAN, then on the network, which allows you to control the buildings remotely, a great advantage both in terms of maintenance and energy saving. Finally” – Alessandro concludes – “since we are in an era of smart working, and remote work requires collaboration, we chose Dropbox as a partner because we use their platform a lot ourselves, which allows us to work with both internal and external members.”
