BenQ’s participation in the 2022 edition of Didacta, a trade fair dedicated to the world of educational technologies, saw a clear confirmation of the company’s vocation, with innovations in the field of interactive displays. But the points of interest don’t stop there…
The pandemic, it is now well known, has represented an authentic hurricane for certain areas of work, and school is definitely one of them. Already moving towards the logic of progressive digitization, the school has in fact seen the need to greatly accelerate this process, while developing a real renewal of the educational and didactic approach, which from traditional is oriented towards digital and hybrid. So what does the school ask of technology? First of all, image and sound quality, for perfect intelligibility in presence and remotely, and then safety and safeguarding the well-being of users. BenQ showed at Didacta its best solutions that take all these aspects into account, starting with the Master and Essential series of interactive displays (RM03 and RE01), designed to make teaching activities even more engaging and dynamic, even in hybrid mode.
Alessandra Ollano, Head of B2B for BenQ, met at the company’s stand at Didacta 2022, told us about it: “Thanks to the Educational. at the end of 2020 we have recovered in terms of turnover, and in 2021 the trend was confirmed. We have the right products to cover a large part of the needs of schools, such as the new RM03 and RE01 displays. In particular, the RM03 model offers an integrated soundbar for audio and the screen is germ resistant, protected by a silver ion multilayer that totally eliminates bacteria from the surface of the screen in 24 hours. Furthermore, we focus a lot on Classroomcare® technology, which consists of different parts: Eye-Care preserves the user’s sight, then the aforementioned germ resistant screens and air quality sensors indicate when it is necessary to ventilate an environment, for the benefit of both teachers and students”. The software integrated in these types of displays allow the sharing of materials and annotations in real time from the interactive whiteboard to the students’ devices and vice versa, effectively creating a single workspace, regardless of the need for distancing.
The BenQ stand at Didacta, however, also saw the presence of “consumer” monitors (Alessandra Ollano prefers to speak of “B2C” instead of “B2B”): in particular, spotlights on the PD line – for designers and creators, but also for technical institutes – and on the two EX monitors of the new BenQ MOBIUZ gaming line, an effective response to the requests of those schools that include esports and gaming programs.
So how did Didacta 2022 go according to BenQ? This time, Valentina Sierri, BenQ Marketing & Communication Specialist replies: “Didacta was the most important event we have attended lately. The focus of the stand was represented by interactive displays, with, however, the monitors for designers and gaming: all products capable of satisfying ever-changing educational needs. The idea is to contribute to the strengthening of anti-covid strategies for schools by ensuring functionality and safety, in support of principals and teachers. If at the beginning the focus was on elementary and middle schools, now we are expanding our communication, and we are also targeting high schools and universities. In short, the target is evolving”. Alessandra Ollano concludes: “We are very happy with the event, we wanted to send a few key messages, for clear and clear communication, and I would say that we have succeeded. From the BenQ stand at Didacta 2022, the attention dedicated by the company to quality, well-being and the promotion of interaction in the Education sector emerges. The ecosystem for the school that BenQ has studied is able to integrate perfectly and be exploited to the fullest in every context and educational scenario, thanks to tools such as EZWrite software in combination with Classroomcare® technology”.
In short, from Didacta 2022, as far as BenQ is concerned, the guidelines for a new and “future proof” teaching emerge.
