Always a “hot” name when it comes to collaboration, but also projection and, therefore, live events, Barco made its debut at MIR and is already making an appointment for the next edition
Thomas Parravicini, Barco‘s Territory Manager, has no doubts:
“The fair was a very positive surprise, it was the first year for us and I must say that we definitely appreciated the great work done by SIEC to raise the level of interest and the number of participants. We are very satisfied, the idea is to come back next year, organizing even better.”
Barco‘s participation, at the product level, took place along two major lines: on the one hand, TruePix, a ledwall engineered for control rooms thanks to redundancy, typically required in this market, but also suitable for other market segments, thanks to high performance and high image quality. On the other hand, the new release of ClickShare, for the Collaboration domain, which introduces interesting new features such as dual monitor support.
“We are very vertical on the control room part”-Thomas Parravicini explained-“but our products are also very transversal: ledwalls, LCD videowalls and so on, all technology suitable both for control rooms and for installations such as auditoriums or meeting rooms, thus the Corporate environment. The Barco name” – concluded Thomas – “is very well known in the industry, but doing dedicated events like MIR is essential first of all to reach new generations, and then to meet new possible customers and give visibility to the brand.”
And because MIR means live events, and “live” often means large video projections, at MIR 2023 Barco also exhibited its XDX-4K40, a colossal 40,000-lumen 4K three-chip RGB DLP projector, explicitly designed for rentals, and launched three years ago and well known in the industry.
And given the success of this participation, even more is to be expected for the 2024 edition of MIR!
