Sharing Projects, not Spaces, was the title of the event held in Vicenza as part of the project AV Playground by Connessioni, dedicated to bringing together the world of Systems Integration with that of architectural design.
A recurring theme, one of the main ones related to work and study today: how should offices, conference rooms and classrooms be redesigned in the era of hybrid work, or rather, asynchronous work and study? For these reasons, we decided to focus on this topic last 14 October, from the point of view of designers who have to re-think environments, the interactions between people and with those who work and study remotely and, as a consequence, the technologies that are used to make today’s new ways of working and studying possible.
The event, in collaboration with the Ordine degli Architetti of Vicenza, and made possible thanks to the support of EET, Kramer Electronis Italy and Prase Media Technologies, brought together both in presence and remote participants: to them we offered insights and thoughts on what can be achieved by multimedia technologies and how to make them an integral part of a project, whether from scratch or a renovation
project, from the very first steps.
We would therefore like to thank architect Jacopo Gonzato of Boccaccio432 for his introduction, Veronica Tabaglio of Strategy Innovation for her contribution on how to interpret and accompany companies’ need for innovation, and architect Marco Gennaro of Ambiente 1985 on the role of contract in supporting the design of new working spaces. Thanks also to Luca Battistelli of Prase Media Technologies who spoke of how, through technology and in particular audio technology, it is possible to involve participants in remote meetings, and to Chiara Borlini and Ambrogio Curiale of Kramer Electronics Italy who spoke about hardware and software solutions that can support today’s work. The last speech, by Dario Da Re, Director of Digital Learning and Multimedia at the University of Padua, was also very interesting, a testimony of how the University reacted to the urgencies of hybrid teaching suddenly brought by the pandemic, from networks to the modernisation of rooms. Finally, thanks to the AVIXA association, which sponsored the project.
The Order of Architects has granted the participants three training credits for the continuing education of professionals.
