HOTEL
In the hospitality sector, ease of use and flexibility are important, while sound quality and a discreet design contribute to a top-notch experience for guests.
In this example, which shows the public areas of the hotel, a Zone 8 matrix combined with SmartAmps provides the audio signal to seven zones, with a stereo setup for most of the system in the hotel gym. The receptionist has access to a ZonePad4 control panel to select sources and levels for the restrooms, corridors, etc.
Central multimedia sources can be played in all connected rooms, with local control for the Fitness Suite, Bar, Lounge, and Restaurant. The Bar has a local audio input for its own music sources when needed, along with a local microphone input.
The Fitness Suite uses high-output UP 6 speakers for high volumes and punchy sound, while the meeting rooms, reception area, and corridors use Up 3 speakers, which provide excellent sound and uniform coverage at more modest volume levels.
In the bars and restaurants, the Up 4 offers quality audio that enhances the atmosphere for all customers.
BAR
Excellent sound quality for live performances and ease of use for the staff are essential requirements for this type of venue. This small venue, which occasionally hosts local bands and small DJ sets, has a main room with the performance area and a separate, quieter room where performances from the main room can be broadcast or alternative music sources can be played.
A “front desk” microphone for the main room allows announcements, such as event start times, to be made, along with a ZonePad1 panel for general volume and music source control. For the lounge, this function is handled by the same Zone 8 matrix that performs all the necessary processing for the speakers, so in this case, it is not necessary to use the speaker presets in the SmartAmp amplifiers.
In the main room, Cuboid 8 speakers, paired with Sub 10s, provide wide bandwidth, quality sound for performing artists, and appropriate sound pressure levels for the venue. The speakers in the kitchen entertain the staff, and the speakers in the restrooms ensure that no one misses the performance.
SMALL RETAIL STORE
For a small independent store, the budget is always an important factor, but a discreet, uniform-sounding system that creates the right atmosphere is still important.
The Zone 4P matrix offers everything needed in one package that can be managed directly from the front panel, with the device placed on a shelf under the counter.
The wide dispersion and broad frequency range of the Up 4 speakers are the ideal solution in this case, with speakers included in staff rooms and storage areas for staff communication and relaxation.
LARGER RETAIL STORE
Modern retail environments are spaces with particular attention to design, where creating the right atmosphere for customers is crucial.
This medium/large-sized store requires dynamic, punchy sound with uniform coverage across all floors, with control from the office via a ZonePad 4. The building in question is quite old and has minimal space above the drop ceiling. Coverage uniformity is ensured by the Up 4S speakers, which also adapt to mounting constraints.
The low frequencies are supported by Sub 10 speakers at floor level. The use of integrated speaker processing in the SmartAmp 30 frees up two outputs from the Zone 4 to provide coverage for staff areas.
