Jabra, known for its audio solutions for Collaboration, has also made its debut in video in the past few years, and at ISE 2023 it unveiled Panacast, which allows all participants to see and be seen in the same way and with the same possibilities
“Our DNA as a company” – Luca Barbarossa, Regional Product Marketing Manager South EMEA at Jabra told us – “is collaboration through headphones, therefore the development of audio tools. Here at ISE we presented headsets that reflect our philosophy: to offer professional tools for collaboration.”
Explicitly designed to foster collaboration, and equipped with a professional microphone that allows you to keep your voice clear and loud even in noisy environments, in open spaces such as in the office or at home, the new Jabra-designed headsets spring directly – like other products presented by the company – from the experience of the pandemic, which has greatly increased hybrid work. “The idea” – continues Luca Barbarossa – “is to allow people to work where they want, headphones will make the voice reach everywhere in a clear way, and will also allow, if necessary, to isolate oneself and concentrate. As it is a wireless model, high flexibility is also guaranteed. Here at ISE we have brought the whole line up, with different features and prices, but with the same cutting-edge Jabra technology.”
Also in the Jabra stand, speakerphones could not be missing: there are four models in the Speak series, which can be used both at home and in the office, and designed to allow you to manage meetings with face-to-face and remote participants.
But the real novelty for the company, as Luca Barbarossa confirms, is its entry into the world of video starting in 2019: “We have also entered videoconferencing” Luca told us “with technologies that are not yet on the market. An example above all: Panacast, a camera with a 180-degree field of view, which can frame the entire room in which the meeting is held, so that all participants can see and be seen. All without cables, and easy to install. In the case of more complex meeting rooms, we have Panacast 50, which always offers a 180° view but is mounted on the wall, and is able to structure a sort of ‘direction’ of the framed scene using AI. Furthermore, a special function allows you to zoom in on people in the meeting room, showing them larger. After all, the theme of the moment” – concludes Luca Barbarossa – “is the fairness of the meeting, regardless of where you work, from home, from the office or from a public place! Today, more than 80% of meetings are hybrid.”
Finally, a last mention should be dedicated to Jabra’s partnership with Lenovo, which has produced a Windows-based interface that does not require the use of a PC to start and manage meetings. So how did the fair go from Jabra’s point of view?
“Compared to last year I saw many more people” – said Luca Barbarossa. “In particular, many system integrators and, compared to other editions, many more end users, this year! It was certainly an important edition, it could represent a turning point in the history of the event.”
