Important presence at ISE 2023 of the historic AMX, which is relaunching the brand especially in the European market by choosing the Barcelona event to present several exciting new products
Talking with Carlo Novelli, Area Manager & Marketing Manager of Intermark Sistemi, the Italian distributor of AMX products, we were able to delve into the various new products the brand brought to ISE 2023, starting with the new line of VARIA touch panels, with 5″, 8″, 10″ and 15″ denominations for all needs and applications.
“We have always had the best touch panels on the market, even aesthetically,” was Carlo Novelli’s comment. “After a period when the push for innovation had slowed down a bit, the brand is off to a great start and here at ISE we presented three new products, including the new VARIA series touch panels. Equipped with side LEDs for the room booking part, they are also perfect for Zoom Room or even kiosk functionality, with a digital signage perspective. In short, they are quality and very versatile products, which can be installed without more flush-mounted boxes, but with support and interlocking systems, or can be mounted directly on tables in various positions, thanks to excellent mechanical design.”
Also very interesting was AMX’s choice to present the main new products in Europe and not in America, as usual: a clear message of how much the European market has regained positions in the company’s consideration. “In AMX,” – Carlo Novelli concludes – “there has indeed been a profound rethinking on many strategies, which has eventually led to the launch of an important project. Now the innovation trend has also restarted, and we can see the fruits.”
Also of note, in fact, is the new N2600 line of encoders/decoders, designed for colleges and universities, businesses, hospitality facilities, and, in general, any streaming application. Having a high-quality, low-latency MWC 4K60 4: 4: 4 codec, as well as USB 2.0 Connessioni, the N2600 series encoders/decoders are designed for broadcasting both live video and detailed content. Finally, these encoder models can encode MWC and H.264 streams simultaneously, while the decoders can, in contrast, decode streams of both types.
The latest novelty was introduced to us directly by Carlo Novelli, without hiding a certain enthusiasm: “We also presented a product called JETPACK, a kit dedicated to the Educational world. With two wall plates, one for connectivity and one for control, and a device that, with the amplified audio output, goes directly to the speakers, the giocop is done: extreme simplicity! You can even connect with your phone-it’s a plug-and-play product, basically. The market for simple, intuitive Educational products is new to AMX: before, the brand offered much more complex solutions. The cloud platform also allows you to download firmware updates yourself, or manage all panels centrally, not one by one.”
