Presented at ISE 2020, the new audio matrix by Allen & Heath (brand distributed in Italy by Exhibo) is called AHM-64 and is designed for modular installation
The new Allen & Heath proposal, the AHM-64 modular audio matrix, a 64 × 64 device supported by a complete ecosystem of scalable I/O, control and Dante solutions comes directly from the last ISE in Amsterdam. Intended primarily for business, retail, leisure and education, AHM-64 allows system integrators to create audio distribution systems ranging from a single meeting room to an entire university campus.
The AHM-64 has twelve local inputs and twelve outputs, and a SLink expansion port that allows plug and play connection for up to eight remote expansions of Allen & Heath’s Everything I/O series. A dedicated port also allows you to add an optional Dante 96kHz 64×64 card for connection to devices on the Dante network, including Dante DT164-W wall and DT168 portable expansions.
As for remote control options, AHM-64 offers several possibilities, including a series of PoE controllers and the BYOD customized control app, which allows customized user interfaces for multiple types of users and devices.
“AHM-64” – said Allen & Heath’s CEO Rob Clark – “meets all these needs and, thanks to the construction around a 96kHz FPGA motor, offers exceptional audio quality and minimum latency.”
The product manager Nic Beretta adds: “AHM-64 achieves a balance between the simplicity and latency of fixed architecture and the flexibility normally reserved for open architecture platforms, allowing it to control sound management, announcements, audio distribution, conferences and speaker control. System integrators can optimize their revenues by creating the ideal system in a short time; certified training is not necessary to obtain great results with AHM-64.”
The Allen & Heath brand is distributed in Italy by Exhibo.
