K-array attended ISE 2023 with its usual enthusiasm, and presenting important news from all its brands and product lines, including KSCAPE and KGEAR
K-array’s ISE was packed with novelties, starting with the new range of miniature speakers Mk I Lyzard which, in the words of Andrea Torelli, Global Marketing & Communications Director of K-array, “is a product that offers a simplest and most essential audio solution for both individuals and companies, and allows us to have a complete catalog to offer the customer all types of solutions and to create an even stronger offer on the market.”
Indeed, the Mark I Lyzard series was born to combine premium level audio with an extremely refined and minimal design, in a miniaturized and elegant body designed for discreet use in a variety of environments, from shops to high-class restaurants , from bars to museums to private homes. The range includes the Lyzard-KZ1 and Lyzard-KZ14 models, equipped with a snap-on magnetic grille, for a pure and minimalist aesthetic and for particularly simple installation. For applications that require completely invisible audio there are the KZ1R and KZ14R versions, designed for recessed mounting in walls and ceilings. Obviously, all models are available in a wide range of colors and metal finishes, to integrate perfectly into any decor. In addition, the new Mk I Lyzards have been updated with the latest version of the Kommander KA02 miniature DSP amplifier, which offers all the features of its bigger brothers and is fully Dante-ready. The new plug-ins also enable integration with all major control systems including Crestron, Control4, Q-sys and AMX.
Another important novelty of this ISE 2023 was the new model of the all-in-one audio and light solution RAIL by KSCAPE, created to help designers and architects in the design challenges that require light and sound to be indispensable. It is a 1,2 m architectural and aerodynamic luminaire composed of 360 LEDs guaranteed for at least 60.000 hours of life, combined with an aluminum-coated MicroSilver reflector available in various configurations. In short, LED lighting capable of providing a complete color spectrum, including dynamic white, with a high CRI. As Thomas Riby, Global Sales and Marketing manager of the KSCAPE brand, underlined, “aesthetics is a very important value for us, but it must be accompanied by the most advanced technical specificities, to guarantee important results.” The new RAIL by KSCAPE goes exactly in this direction, and to remain in the context of KSCAPE, the new Thunder-KSC12P infra-subwoofer for boutique and home cinema applications also deserves mention. Thanks to its small size, Thunder-KSC12P offers even greater versatility for smaller spaces.
Lastly, the new Rumble-KU315 is also an interesting novelty which, with its nominal power of 2000 W@4Ω, is the most powerful passive subwoofer in the Rumble series and has been designed for applications where space and aesthetics are essential, without compromising on sound quality. Suitable for both outdoor and indoor installation, Rumble-KU315 is the only model in the series made of polyurea-coated birch plywood, and is equipped with a 15” neodymium transducer. Both Rumble and Thunder are also Dolby ATMOS certified and are featured in the DARDT Dolby ATMOS Room Design Tool.
We close with the novelties signed by KGEAR, namely the new GF column loudspeakers and the new GM44 analogue audio matrix. GF42 and GF162 are the two new members that enrich the GF family of compact column loudspeakers, featuring the same 2” drivers implemented in the GF22 and GF82 models, as well as having the same build quality. Also presented were the active versions of some models (GF22A, GF42A and GF82A), equipped with an integrated amplifier with automatic on/off and the possibility of driving a passive loudspeaker. Also available in 70/100 volt versions (GF42T, GF82T and GF162T) for large installations.
The GM44, on the other hand, is a four-zone analog audio matrix with four stereo line inputs and gain control, four stereo line outputs with treble and bass adjustment, as well as four zone input selectors and one auxiliary input that can be independently assigned to each zone output and mixed to the selected input channel. This new audio matrix is particularly suitable for multi-zone sound distribution in systems intended for bars and restaurants, hotels, companies, conference centers and residential areas.
