The STINGER G3 series by LD Systems is now in its third generation, which includes subwoofer and full range multifunction speakers in active and passive version, designed for music tour
The new STINGER G3 series provides active and passive speakers in 8”, 10”, 12” and 15” sizes and two subwoofers (15” and 18”), which are also both active and passive version. All housings are made of birch wood: combined with the corresponding bass reflex speakers, it offers a very precise bass reproduction.
Among the major improvements of this third generation of STINGER G3, first is the further optimized sound dispersion in the tweeter. The “Boundary Element Method” (BEM) optimizes the development of trumpets, while the distance between the tweeter and the woofer has been reduced to prevent the partial shutdown by the effects of comb filters. The DynX DSP technology developed by LD Systems offers an improved acoustic performance. This series of full-range speakers also feature four dedicated preset (Fullrange, Satellite, Monitor, Flat) for different uses, which can be selected by pressing a button.
In addition to the three High Cut filters, DSP presets of STINGER G3 active subwoofer also have a cardioid presets. The housings for Dual-Tilt stands, the suspension points, the wells stacking and ergonomic handles are all features that make the STINGER G3 series suitable for both rentals and fixed installations.
Viktor Wiesner, Pro Audio Product Manager, said: “The speakers of the new STINGER G3 series are highly professional solutions for acoustic diffusion and reliable tools for industry users. With this new development, LD Systems has introduced many technical features, also for the benefit of the sound management.”
