Media Digital Business with Televic and LG
When representatives of the European Union and the Italian government sit around the table to talk about the economy, communication can only be flawless. Media Digital Business (MDB) handled one of these delicate meetings in spring 2024 in Aosta, Italy, with a Televic, LG and Midas set-up conference.
The meeting was held in English, requiring the set-up of forty customised bilingual (Italian and English) conference stations, a simultaneous interpretation booth, video support, and videoconference transmission with translation.
In the room, the tables were arranged to form a square, with ten seats on each side, and in the centre four LG 55″ UH5 displays were placed in the same configuration, allowing a close, sharp and uniform view to all participants.
For the audio set-up, 40 Televic Confidea Flex conference bases were installed, with Dante connection and customised touch display with the conference logo. A detail much appreciated by the client and implemented in no time by the service.
The microphone bases were grouped into four different Dante audio channels, to which was added one dedicated to the president, and another for the speakers to elaborate on the conference highlights, all configured and managed through the Midas M32R digital console.
“This is one of the features of Televic that we appreciate most from an operational point of view. We can group and manage Dante audio channels with extreme flexibility, with dedicated settings and operations for each individual channel. From a practical point of view, if I have set up a channel with dedicated settings for the chairperson’s role and at the beginning of the meeting the person sits at a different seat, I re-associate the channel as I have set it to the right microphone base,’ added Mirco Presottin, Audio Technician for Media Digital Business.
In addition to flexibility, the Televic system on a Dante network offers substantial installation speed, requiring no proprietary cables or XLRs and eliminating the possibility of errors.
Finally, the translation booth equipped with a Televic Lingua ID interpreting base was highly appreciated by the interpreter. The system is the same as the one adopted by the European Commission, and the interpreters called in for conferences of this calibration are already pleasantly accustomed to the Televic stations.
Among the most appreciated features is of course the quality of the sound pick-up, which helps a lot in interpreting, and the possibility to choose the headphone preset, thanks to which the interpreters can choose their own headphone model knowing that they can count on the best hearing and hearing protection optimisation.
“Joining Alliance Televic was a major investment, but one that has already brought us much satisfaction in just a few months of projects. The quality is not only evident on the technical side for the Media Digital Business operations team, in terms of implementation and audio performance, but surprisingly also for the end user. Organisers and participants appreciate and praise the audio quality and reliability, the aesthetics and intuitive usability, as well as the possibility of customising the bases with the event logo. I am very pleased to have chosen to invest in Televic.” concluded Guida Zabai, owner of Media Digital Business.
