Canon’s commitment to supporting educational experiences to pave the way for new talent is confirmed by its collaboration with the Filmmaker 2024 Advanced Training Course. The Japanese company was in fact Total Imaging Partner of the project promoted by the prestigious Fondazione Cineteca di Bologna, which, through a cycle of theoretical and field lessons, aims to provide participants with the necessary skills to work in the world of cinema and the audiovisual sector.
Supported by the European Social Fund Plus and the Emilia-Romagna Region, the course aims to train versatile and competent professionals, able to independently manage all the production and realisation phases of audiovisual content. An educational offer in line with the objectives of Canon, which has always been active in the education sector. The company, a leader in the development of AV and streaming solutions, will provide students with the best of its technology, offering access to state-of-the-art tools for the creation of high quality cinematographic works.
The Advanced Training Course for Filmmakers aims to provide in-depth skills in both theory and practice. Through a series of meetings, participants will acquire knowledge ranging from the writing of a track to the post-production stages. The collaboration with professionals from the film and audiovisual sector also offers a valuable opportunity to confront a complex and constantly evolving industry, which requires a clear and complete vision of the different phases of the creative process.
A significant part of the course was dedicated to project work, which will take place during the Il Cinema Ritrovato festival, held in Bologna from 22 to 30 June. Here, participants had the opportunity to put into practice the techniques and secrets of the seventh art, collaborating in the production of a finished audiovisual product under the supervision of videomaker Paolo Freschi.
