Barco announced the launch of its new control room software platform, which simplifies workflows, implementation and maintenance and enables scalability to customer needs
With Barco CTRL, for all intents and purposes, control enters a new dimension. Developed following the principle of “security by design,” the platform allows users to securely connect to their sources, from anywhere, and interact with content on their video wall or operator desk. Indeed, in a critical environment such as a control room, security is of the utmost importance. For this reason, Barco CTRL was engineered from the ground up, placing the issue of security at the heart of its design and engineering. Conceived with best practices such as “Zero Trust” and “Shift Left” in mind, Barco CTRL is a complete solution that can be implemented even in mission critical environments thanks to the significant redundancy options possible, and represents a major step forward for Barco toward increasingly flexible, scalable and secure solutions.
Another key feature is ease of use: although the system is very powerful and can be extended to a global network, it is also simple to configure and intuitive to use. An installation wizard supports the user step by step through the configuration process.

By serving both the video wall and the operator station, Barco CTRL extends the user experience to the entire control room, in its entirety, and beyond (to meeting rooms, war rooms, crisis rooms, remote locations, etc.), helping to create an intuitive workflow, eliminating downtime and delays in information management, especially during times of crisis.
