The new “CS-800” and “CS-500” systems use the latest AI technology to combine voice and video data to deliver the most accurate real-time hybrid collaboration experience.
Yamaha introduces the new CS-800 Video Soundbar and CS-500 Video Collaboration System, which enable on-demand video conferencing in a variety of work environments with the latest voice and speaker tracking technology, all encased in a modern design. All CS-800 and CS-500 models apply Yamaha’s new SoundCap Eye™ technology, an innovative technology that uses high-precision positioning information from both voice and camera shots to pinpoint the location of participants. This provides an immersive and seamless tracking experience. Next-generation Hexa-Microphone, along with Smart Framing and new Face Focus Beamforming, enable the devices to find the voice of the callers and deliver an excellent, noise-free call experience by automatically adjusting the video and audio to each individual setting. In addition, the Easy Launch feature enables quick startup when entering a space and helps users collaborate. With only one USB connection to the laptop, users can be up and running in no time.
The CS-800 Video Soundbar is an all-in-one system that integrates the microphone, speaker, camera and video output (HDMI) needed for remote conferencing into a single device. The CS-500 Video Collaboration System includes the microphone, camera, and video output (HDMI), while using the connected display speaker (or other Yamaha or third-party speakers). Various installation methods are available, such as tabletop, wall, and display mounting, using optional mounting accessories. The new CS-800 and CS-500 systems have been certified as Zoom Room hardware devices, confirming a reliable and seamless collaboration experience for users. The included Bluetooth remote control can be used as a large mute button and also enables more advanced configuration if needed.
Key Features
1. SoundCap Eye™ enables remote communication in open spaces by finding and capturing voice clearly and reducing background noise.
New SoundCap Eye™ technology uses the high-precision positioning information from the built-in 4K camera together with the next-generation “Hexa-Microphone,” ensuring crisp voice transmission even in noisy environments. Sound output is optimized by the auto-tuning functions of the CS-800 and CS-500 to provide adequate volume to the speaker. The auto-silence function uses Yamaha’s Human Voice Activity Detection (HVAD) technology and automatically mutes the microphone when no conference participant is speaking.
2. Smart Framing function automatically adjusts camera framing for smooth communication.
The built-in 4K camera, which uses a 120° wide-angle lens, gives a clear view to other participants in online meetings. “Smart Framing” technology uses artificial intelligence and Yamaha’s Face Focus Beamforming feature to recognize people talking in the room and automatically frame the video signal for remote participants. Participants who are moving or moving around the room can pass smoothly thanks to the continuous action of the CS-500/CS-800.
The CS-800 and CS-500 systems enable more passion and excitement to be conveyed in online meetings.
3. Easy Launch is designed to enable everyone to communicate intelligently, quickly and easily.
Yamaha CS-800 and CS-500 include “Auto-Wake Up” and “User Guide” functions that automatically turn on the display and show how to start the meeting when users enter the meeting room. CS-800 and CS-500 also feature a single-cable connection that simplifies online collaboration.
Both products will be available starting in the last quarter of 2022.
