Leviton Network Solution’s participation in the Rome Innovation Hub took place in the name of training dedicated to professionals in design and technologies for structured cabling.
Massimo Colona, Country Manager of Leviton Network Solutions for South East Europe, frames the company’s presence at the Rome Innovation Hub as follows: “The reason why we are present at this event is that one of our main tasks is to train with consultants and designers, so that they can perceive the evolution of the technological standards of this sector, but also to allow them to discover in detail the characteristics of our technologies”. In short, a wide-ranging participation, both in the name of training activities and the more classic presentation of solutions and technologies. We asked Massimo Colona to frame the Leviton company a little better, for the benefit of our readers, and not just its presence in Rome. His answer was very clear: “The Leviton Network Solution division” – he told us – “deals with structured cabling systems, both in copper and in optical fiber. In practice, everything needed to connect PCs, telephones and video surveillance systems within a building or campus. The company is of US origin, with headquarters in New York; the production sites are in the USA and Scotland. In Italy we carry out technical-commercial activities, we carry out training and technical updating, all that is needed to promote our solutions”.
An opportunity like the Rome Innovation Hub has proved to be excellent, therefore, for a company like Leviton, and Massimo confirms it: “The structured cabling sector” – he said – “has perhaps a little less appeal than others technologies present on occasions like this. However, we notice a certain curiosity towards our sector, curiosity that we satisfy thanks to the samples we have brought, in order to touch some peculiarities of our systems, and to literally make you feel the standards and quality of the products. Sometimes the wiring is underestimated, but we are aware that guaranteeing certain performances is never trivial, you need the right skills and products”.
