This is how it was defined by the organizers themselves: the professional fair dedicated to “Visual and its applications,” Illuminotronica, took place in Padua from 12 to 14 October.
The objective was to gather the entire sector ranging from illumination to home & building automation through the concept of control; the event drew 6,700 professionals, from technicians to designers, lighting designers and architects, buyers and public administrations. Once again this year we were present with our stand and we visited the fair in anticipation of the usual report (which you will be able to read in the next issue of Connessioni magazine), with the same spirit that led us to program, with the organizer Tecnoimprese, a stop of our roadshow on 20 June in Florence (http://www.connessioni.biz/website/categoria-prodotti/smart-environments-roadshow-a-firenze.html).
An edition more decidedly oriented towards lighting compared to the previous one—which instead counted more examples (such as home automation) and companies from the automation and security world—but characterized by many opportunities for training, in line with Tecnoimprese’s daily activities. Highly interesting and well-attended, the session of roundtables was held in the central pavilion in a freely accessible area, supported by “Smart Pro” technical seminars, the path for those who wish to make home automation a work opportunity. New this year was the free assistance and consulting service, in collaboration with some sector associations including AILD, KNX Professionals, and SIEC.
And, if this year we were less occupied by exhibitors from the integration sector (though we will still highlight BIG, FPM Security Solutions, Ciemme, El.pro, etc.), the start-up area took care of providing lots of examples of innovation and reinvention of the thousand opportunities offered by the IoT (www.ioteam.it, www.udoo.it) and by technological design (www.iokitchen.com). Click to believe.
